A Trial for The Treatment of Postoperative Pterygium with P^(32) Beta Radiation

Abstract
|

|
P^(32)-soaked filter paper with a dose rate at surface of 28. Rad/Min was applied for the prevention of recurrence of postoperative pterygiums.
Good results with totall doses of 1,700 to 2,900 Rad were obtained in 70 percent of postoperative pterygiums. However, rate of recurrence was the same in the same patientss between one side eye which was irradiated and the other side one which was not irradiated.
